Every handmade singing bowl is unique. This particular bowl is from the Himalayan country of Nepal where it was recently crafted for great sound. This bowl displays the Tibetan prayer mantra of Avolokitshevara on one side of the bowl, Om Mani Padme Hum. The bowl vibrates in dominant G note, the “truth speaking” Throat Chakra. A unique Himalayan prayer bell brought to you from Hither and Yon.This sing bowl just came in stock. This is a great singing bowl that generates nice sound.
This bowl Size measures Diameter 7.5CM,8,9,10,11,13,15,20,25,30CM H, 2.5-6 inches deep. This singing bowl is made in Kathmandu Nepal. This
bowl has etched design of OM MANI PADME HUM mantra around the bowl. The script is the mantra of Avalokteshvara the Buddha of compassion. This bowl comes with a wooden striker as pictured. Singing bowls (also known as Tibetan Prayer Bowls, ‘Himalayan bowls’ or ‘rin gongs’ in Japan) are type of musical instrument classified as a standing bell. Rather than hanging inverted or attached to a handle, standing bells sit with the bottom surface resting. The sides and rim of the bell vibrate to produce sound. Singing bowls were traditionally used throughout Asia as part of Buddhist, B?n and shamanic meditation practice. Today they are used worldwide for meditation, relaxation, healthcare and religious practice. In Buddhist practice, singing bowls are used as a support for meditation and prayer. Singing bowls are played by striking with a soft mallet to produce a warm bell tone and (in the case of genuine antiques) harmonic overtones. They may also be played by the friction of rubbing a wooden mallet around the rim of the bowl to produce overtones.
